Our Process:
1) Bidding: Every project begins with a plan. Whether that is a full set of architectural drawings or a quick sketch, we take your concept and produce a detailed bid.
2) Drawings: Once our bid is accepted, we plan a time to come to your site and take detailed measurements which we will use in our submittal drawings.
3) Revisions: Upon receiving our submittal drawings you may take the opportunity to make changes before production begins. Should you make some changes, a new set of drawings will be issued.
4) Production & Scheduling: Once a project has been approved and a final set of drawings has been issued, we finalize our production schedule and get to work building. Because our planning process is integrated with our machinery, our shop will produce your cabinetry EXACTLY as shown on your drawings.
5) Delivery: We typically prefer to deliver cabinetry the day before installation starts. Having a safe place to stage the cabinetry that is out of the way of the main work area is important.
6) Installation: A typical kitchen takes 3-4 days to fully install. We take great care to fit your cabinetry into place and ensure that it looks great.
Getting Ready:
•Start the process well before you need your cabinetry. Our lead time can vary between 6-8 weeks for a typical project. If you start early we can help to minimize downtime in your project.
•Review your drawings carefully. We know that keeping a timeline is important to you but take the time to read and understand the drawings. Our shop produces EXACTLY what is shown on the final set drawings. Make sure there are no changes to be made prior to putting the job into production. ADD A LINK TO CHECKLIST FOR DRAWING REVIEW
•Prepare for installation. If at all possible, prepare a space where the new cabinetry can be safely stored during the installation process.
•Have your handles ready. TrueGrain does not provide handles & knobs but we will install them at no additional cost if they are on site on install day. We will also need to know where you want them placed so that we can lay them out properly. You will want to give this some thought prior to installation. (***Installation of Non-Standard handles / knobs may incur an additional cost for installation depending on the required installation technique***)
